These Terms apply to every order with Big Gorilla Studio, a brand of RK Creative (“we”, “us”). By paying a deposit invoice, you agree to them.
1. What we do. We make book trailers, teasers, reels and related promo videos for authors, agents and publishers.
2. Quotes and orders. You send us the project form. We check that we can do your project, then email you a quote. Your project starts when you accept the quote and pay the deposit. We may decline a project, and if we do, we owe you nothing and you owe us nothing.
3. Payment. Prices are in US dollars. We send a PayPal invoice for a 50% deposit to start, and a second invoice for the balance. The balance is due before we send your final files. You pay any PayPal or bank fees on your side. Prices shown as “from” are the starting price. We confirm the final price in your quote before you pay.
4. Deposit. The deposit is non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise. It reserves our time and covers the work we begin. If we cannot deliver your project for any reason on our side, we refund your deposit in full.
5. Script, drafts and revisions.
- You approve the script first. Then we send a draft with a watermark.
- Drafts and previews keep the watermark until the full payment is received.
- Your package includes a set number of revisions (Teaser 2, Trailer 3, Launch Campaign 5).
- Please send all your revision notes together within 14 days of receiving the draft. Extra revisions can be bought as an add-on.
- We make the vertical version after you approve the horizontal version. It includes one small adjustment round.
6. Delivery. The delivery days on our website are typical, not guaranteed. They start after your deposit and script approval. If you are slow to reply or send materials, the clock pauses. If we hear nothing from you for 30 days, we close the project, and the deposit stays with us.
7. Your materials. If you send us text, images, footage, music or a book cover, you confirm you have the right to use them. We may refuse content that is illegal, hateful or violates someone else’s rights.
8. Ownership and licenses. Once you pay in full, the final trailer files are yours to use to promote your book. Stock footage, music, fonts and voices come from third parties. They are licensed for your trailer and may not be taken out and used or resold on their own. We keep the right to show the finished work in our portfolio. If you do not want that, tell us in writing before delivery. We keep our working files and project files.
9. AI voice-over. If you order the AI voice-over add-on, the voice is computer-generated. You approve the script and the voice before final delivery.
10. No guarantee of results. A trailer helps promote your book, but we cannot promise any number of views, followers or sales.
11. Our liability. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the project. We are not liable for indirect or lost-profit losses. Nothing in these Terms removes any right you have under the law that cannot be removed.
12. Referral credit. A new client who names the person who referred them gets 10% off their first order. The referrer gets credit worth about $25, as a free reel or thumbnail, once the new client has paid the deposit. Credit is not cash, can be used on any future order by that person, and expires after 12 months. Discounts and credits cannot be combined.
13. EU and UK customers. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you may have a right to cancel within 14 days. If you ask us to start work straight away, you agree that we start before the 14 days end. You may then lose your right to cancel once the work is fully done, and if you cancel before then, you pay for the work already done.
14. Disagreements. Please write to us first at biggorillastudio@gmail.com. We will try to fix any problem within 30 days. These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and any dispute that cannot be settled between us goes to the courts of Malaysia, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
15. Changes. We may update these Terms. The Terms that applied on the day you paid your deposit apply to your project.
